After a poor display in Norway, the Germans were determined to put up a much better show at home against a Malta team including Jarrod Sammut (Crusaders), Chris Parker (Gateshead Thunder) and other experienced heritage players like Paul Borg and Daniel Marzella.

14/06/2011Ramstein Rogues are withdrawing from the Erste Deutsche RL Bundesliga
This morning, Head Coach of the Ramstein Rogues Mr. Clive French, announced the withdrawel of his team from the competition.
“This is very unfortunate, but caused by injuries and the close proximatey to the end of the Erste Deutsche RL Bundesliga and the beginning of our pre-season in Rugby Union. This would not allow the players to recover properly you would be simply irresponsible.
The DRLV is sad about their decision and wishes all the best for the players and the team.
However, we would be more than happy to welcome the Ramstein rogues next season.
Another German Star plays in Challenge Cup
Jimmy Keinhorst became the 5th German National player to play in the Challenge Cup a the weekend when he scored 3 tries for Leeds Met in a 44-14 win
against Hull University at the weekend.
A New Era Begins for RL
ARL and NSWRL chairman Colin Love has advised that he will not be seeking re-election to the posts, as massive administrative changes sweep the game before the new independent commission.
