This was an unusual game, as a 9s event warmed the players up before playing 13 v 13. 3 Teams entered the 9s. Local boys Calbach Raccoons, American Armed Forces Europe and finally a Combined Hochspeyer (Kaiserslautern)/NRW (Cologne)team.Allö 3 teams wanted to play a 9s comp as some guys from both sides had never played before or had very little Rugby League experience.
The results from the 9s were as follows:
American Armed Forces 24-22 Calbach Raccoons
American Armed Forces 18-16 Hochspeyer/NRW
Calbach Raccoons 20-20 Hochspeyer/NRW.
