International Rugby League Player of the Year

Jarryd Hayne has won the International Rugby League Player of the year award, ahead of fellow Australian Superstars Greg Inglis and Billy Slater. Ryan Hall from England won Rookie/Best International Newcomer and Australian Shayne Hayne scooped International Referee of the year.

Each Nation was asked to pick their player of the year. For Germany, National Trainer Dan Stocks and his coaching staff picked the highly talented Jimmy Keinhorst.

In the European Shield game against Italy, Keinhorst grabbed 3 well taken tries where he also won man of the match. He also played a leading role against the Czechs despite being on the losing side. Despite being still only 19, Jimmy Keinhorst has played 5 games for Germany, scoring 8 Tries and kicking 12 Goals for a total of 56 Points .Jimmy Keinhorst plays both Rugby League and Rugby Union which is quite common among many amateur players in the UK and Ireland.

Coming from the Leeds area in Northern England, Jimmy is a Leeds Rhinos fan. Jimmy will be looking to play a further important role in the German National team next year alongside his 3 Brothers Markus, Nick and Kristian who is the National Captain.
